Steve Irwin and Bindi Sue
12x16 oil on canvas, brushes not airbrushed When the terrible news first aired, I did another tribute piece digitally and since the digital medium isn't my thing; it wasn't very good. And so I wanted to use a better tribute on a medium that I was more comfortable with, oils. Painting was based on This photo: [link] you can see the two compared side by side there as well. The reference photo was of poor quality and blurry and the best possible job was done. The croc is poor I know, but the focus was on the people. I like how Bindi turned out in the painting but Steve not so much, he proved difficult to paint. A tribute to you  You are deffinately missed and will never be forgotten. We all knew The torch would someday be passed to Steve's children, but it was passed way too soon. I send my love and stregnth to his family and friends.   All comments on the *artwork* including critique are welcome, please no rude remarks about Steve himself. If you don't like him that's fine, i'm not trying to force you to do so. I respect you, so please respect me. All rude remarks based only on Steve himself will be hidden, Tribute pieces are done in a positive light and aren't supposed to turn into something negative.
